Dominican Republic Adventure Tour
Day 1: We transfer you to our three star apartments right at the beach in the hottest surfing town in the DR, Cabarete. The rest
of the day you have time to relax, stroll along the beach, surf the waves or the web.
Day 2: Today we have a one hour windsurfing lesson for beginners and for people who know how to windsurf, the hire
of 1st class equipment for the day. The inner bay in Cabarete is perfect for beginners and the more advanced ones will find
the best conditions on the reef with its huge waves, the reason for world championships being held here!
Day 3: In the morning you will be taken to Encuentro beach - the best surf spot in Cabarete. Here our instructors will show
you how to handle the boards, the swimming and the waves. Later you will get time to work your own board and hopefully
get standing up - at least for a few seconds! After surfing we will leave to Punta Rucia where we have an excellent late lunch.
After lunch you’ll get a high speed boat ride to one of the most beautiful islands on earth. Here we’ll go for an amazing snorkel
tour along the outer reef where big fish and astonishing sea life are to be seen. We end our day at the beach with a stylish
bonfire-lit dinner.
Day 4: A late breakfast in Punta Rucia and we’ll drive you to Jarabacoa, the adventure sports capital of the Caribbean! Check
in at the ranch and relax before what's to come..
Day 5: Today, white water rafting in Manabao! This is a beautiful adventure in breathtaking surroundings. The first few rapids are mellow and you have time to warm up, get used to your new environment and become one with the paddle. Then later on the river offers fantastic rapids, demanding technical stretches; narrow steep sidewall sections and sheer drops. Midway we serve an excellent barbeque right by the river before the last part of rafting gives you another kick of adrenalin. But don’t worry two well trained guides will bring you back safely for the party that night.
Day 6: At 9.00AM we will set of for a 50 km four-wheel adventure. In jeeps we drive from Jarabaco, over high mountains on unpaved roads, through stunning landscapes, to the Jose de Carmen Ramirez National Park. Here we will stay over night and in the morning you will go for an unforgettable kayak tour.
Day 7: In the morning we will give you time to teach you and practice on how to handle the inflatable kayaks. Always 2-3 persons share one boat. The part where we will go to kayakwill have some nice drops in absolutely untouched nature. Later during the day we’ll cross a man made dam and keep on going for another hour until we reach our camp for that night. An excellent barbeque will close this wonderful day.
Day 8: Your second day on the river is a very relaxing day. The calm river just floats you down to “Bahraona”. Along amazing stone formations and narrow canyons where the river is meandering softly and gently. When we reach Bahraona we weill check in to the hotel.
Day 9: Relaxing, shopping and beaching.
Day 10: We’ll drive to one of the most beautiful beaches on this planet. A local fisherman will give us a ride to this secret beach where the crystal clear water and white sand gives you a feeling of paradise. We stay overnight at the beach and the local fishermen will also serve us delicious seafood.
Day 11: Unfortunately this will be the day with a longer bus ride. Sorry but this is the price you have to pay to be in fantastic isolated places that not a lot of people have been to. Check into our hotel in the Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo – the capital of the Dominican Republic!
Day 12. It’s up to you what you do today. The Colonial Zone offers a lot of history to see being "The first city of the New World". In the local markets and shops you can get rid of your last pesos, there's a massive aquarium and countless museums to be seen - do as much asyou can! At night we will go clubbing in the “Hard Rock Café” and Atarazan Nuevo, happening places with historical surroundings!
Day 13. The drive to the canyoning (Six Falls) today will give you time to recover from the night before and the awesome trip we’ll go to will bring your adrenalin levels to their highest.
Day 14. On your last day we will give you an awesome experience - spelunking! The whole cave system is about 20 km long and we cover about 4 km of this distance. We enter through an opening at the top with an 80-meter abseil (rappel) free hanging into the darkness. Mighty limestone formations guard the first steps. The whole cave system is a giant tunnel leading deep down into the cave. At times there is water, in some sections. For hours the only sounds you will hear are of our footsteps and the sounds of the bats high up in the cave - a cathedral like ceiling. Once past the initial abseil the passage is not very technical so don't worry! This night we have our leaving party and packing.
•Day 15: Unfortunately it's time to leave! Farewell and we hope we see you again!
