Terms and Conditions

Acceptance Criteria:

Each participant must complete and submit a PUEBLO Project Application. Applications may be submitted online on the PUEBLO website. There is no commitment in submitting an application as each participant must first be accepted into the PUEBLO Project before he/she may participate.

Within approximately 14 business days within receiving an application, PUEBLO will contact the participant in regards to:

a) acceptance into the program

b) non-acceptance

c) the need for more information

If accepted, in the acceptance letter/email will be instructions directing the participant to the next stage of the process, the completion of the PUEBLO Project Agreement. This agreement must be signed and returned to PUEBLO with a $200.00 USD non-refundable deposit. (If a participant has signed up for the Adventure tour as well, there will be an additional $100.00 USD non-refundable deposit required.)

Graduates, as well as undergraduates, may apply.

Non-students may also apply.

All participants must be 18 by the time their project begins. If a participant is under 18 when applying for the project, he/she must have a parent or guardian’s signature on the PUEBLO Project Agreement.

Please be advised that departure dates and spaces are limited for each volunteer work project in each host country. Therefore, PUEBLO will accept participants on a first come first serve basis, in the order that their agreements and deposits are received. If spaces are filled to capacity, participants will be placed on a waiting list should they desire this and all non-refundable deposits will be returned to them.

Deposits:

The non-refundable deposit of $200.00 USD (and any additional $100.00 USD deposits), must be submitted with the signed Agreement and are non-refundable/non-transferable. This money assures PUEBLO of the desire to participate in the Program and enables us to make the necessary program arrangements and reservations for a participant. Upon receiving the deposit and the signed Program Agreement (and subject to space availability), PUEBLO will reserve the participant a spot in the program and email the participant their confirmed departure dates for their chosen country.

If PUEBLO is unable to reserve a space, we will immediately return any deposits and place participant on a waiting list if they desire this.

Financial Due Dates:

All payments towards Program costs are due to be received by PUEBLO on or before sixty (60) days prior to departure to the participants host country.

PUEBLO will send a final notice 80 days prior to the participants’ departure date to country, showing the total amount received and any balance due.

Participants may pay their cost balance any time prior to the 60 day “prior to departure” deadline.

If all payments are not received by PUEBLO 60 days prior to departure, PUEBLO will assume the participant has cancelled. The cancellation fee is specified below. In the case of late payments, a $50.00 late fee will be charged.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation of the program must be in writing (email or mail). No verbal cancellations will be accepted. When PUEBLO receives a cancellation, a fee will be applied to cover the expenses and costs suffered by PUEBLO due to the cancellation. The amount of the cancellation fee is determined by the number of days prior to the departure date to participant’s host country that the written cancellation notice is received and is specified as follows:

Period of Notice/Cancellation Rate

a.On of before 55 days prior to departure: ALL NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSITS

b.54 day to 30 days prior to departure: 50% of total costs

c.29 to 14 days prior to departure: 75% of total costs

d.13 days prior to departure: 100% of total costs

Participants who leave the PUEBLO Program before completion:

Any participant who voluntarily leaves or is removed from the program before the scheduled completion of their full program will not be refunded by PUEBLO for any portion of their program costs, nor will they be permitted to rejoin the program at any time during the volunteer project or adventure tour. PUEBLO cannot assume responsibility for any participant once he/she has left the supervision of the PUEBLO staff. This includes any person being required to leave the program as requested by the program staff for breach of contract, medical, or personal reasons. Participants who leave the program due to medical or personal reasons, should consult his/her travel insurance provider, which may provide for partial or full recovery of his/her program fees. Participants who leave the program for medical reasons (illness or injury that requires medical treatment or a stay in the hospital) may be permitted to rejoin the PUEBLO program at the discretion of the PUEBLO staff.
