The Hut

These are no ordinary huts! They're not just our bases where some of our canyoning, rafting and caving trips are started. They are unique buildings right in the middle of your host country, giving you a new home away from home. They offer bunk beds for up to 30 people. There have showering facilities, clean toilets and we have our own generator to ensure that we have 24-hour electricity. There are two big freezers and a complete kitchen with all appliances to serve groups of any size and appetite!

Our local cooks are famous for their authentic local cooking and P.U.E.B.L.O founder, Mike is famous for his Thai cuisine! From fresh fish on the grill, to German sausage or a simple “sancocho” you can have (and EAT!) it all.

The local stores offers a wide range of snacks and drinks if the cooking at the Hut hasn't completely filled you up or you feel like a midnight snack (or cold beer!).

In previous years all the students from the P.U.E.B.L.O Project have stayed there over their two week spells at the project and really loved it. The Hut is the perfect base to create a solid group spirit and allow individuals to get to know each other on a more personal level.

Arroyo Blanco - Dominican Republic

The original Hut! Based in the village of Saladillo, only ten minutes from Arroyo Blanco, the hut gives a slice of Alpine living right in the middle of the Caribbean with cool mountain breezes keeping you cool after a days hard work on the construction site. Surrounded by avocado trees and with a phenomenal view over the valley, this is truly a perfect venue for living in the Dominican Republic. Friendly locals mingle with the volunteers in the evenings and work with us on tasks such as laundry and cooking. PUEBLO has special late night privileges at the local "Colmado" too if you feel the need for another beer!
